M.A. in Chinese Music & Culture

The master of arts degree in Chinese music and culture at Bard College offers students a unique interdisciplinary approach to China and Chinese musical culture.

Students pursue a two-year course of study culminating in a final research project and a public performance or recital.

The program will deepen students’ understanding of Chinese musical tradition, cultivate their performing skills, and provide a solid foundation in the language, history, and culture of China.
